a giant thanks to everyone who came and saw Some Days are Better than Others when it was showing in theaters. WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!!!
now, for the rest of you who weren’t able to catch it in the theater, we are excited to say the film will be coming out soon on DVD, Bluray, and VOD. no exact dates yet, but soon! in the meantime, we’d love it if you put Some Days in your Netflix queue, asked about it at your local video store, or just told your friends about it. the more we can get the word out (and convince the big companies to pick-up the DVD) the better for everyone. if you are affiliated with a video rental store and want to carry Some Days, then please contact the fine folks at Palisades Tartan, and thank you.
for those of you with Netlix, please put it in your queue!!!

Austin was a blast. a huge thanks to everyone at SXSW and all those who came to our screenings. I was very happy to be joined by several of the film’s cast and crew members, including Carrie Brownstein, James Mercer, Renee Roman Nose, Greg Schmitt, Ryan Smith, Amanda Needham, Erin McGarry, Neil Kopp, David Cress, Joe Van Apen, Peter Glavin, Ken Unkeles, and Molly Gochman. We all had a blast and met some amazing people.
Be sure to check out the great review we got from from Filmmaker Magazine and cool interviews over at IndieWire and IFC. We also received some nice words from The Austin Chronicle and the Eugene Weekly.
here is the crowd at our world premiere screening, and other fun picts from austin:

Texas here we come. Pretty excited and very nervous about the big premiere, it’s crazy to think that people i don’t know will actually be watching this movie. it was about 4 years ago that i started writing the script, and in two days it will finally be complete. wish us luck!
i hope to update the blog frequently throughout the fest, so please check back. there is also a great series of interviews that IndieWire did with many of the SXSW filmmakers that i recommend checking out: www.indiewire.com/article/meet_the_2010_sxsw_filmmakers/
and in case you missed it, here is where you can find all the screening and schedule information for Some Days: http://my.sxsw.com/events/event/5190
and check out our awesome poster designed by Aaron James!

wow, turn your back and these blogs just get away from you. sorry for the lack of updates and such, but getting through the final stages of post-production was a slog. anyhow, you probably already know we will be premiering the film at SXSW in a couple weeks, and needless to say we are very excited. we are also excited to announce that Some Days… will be screening at the Ann Arbor Film Festival just after SXSW, and you can check out info about that screening here.
you can also see a bounty of short films and music videos made by Some Days director Matt McCormick’s website, including videos for The Shins, Sleater-Kinney, and Broken Bells!
we will have more exciting news soon. thanks for your patience, and i promise this blog won’t go so neglected in the future!
